May is almost here, bringing an exciting lineup of TV shows and movies debuting on Max. From Pretty Little Liars: Summer School to the movie adaptation of Turtles All the Way Down, around 80 titles will arrive throughout the month. Mark your calendars for May 9 as the second season of Max’s Pretty Little Liars spinoff, now titled Pretty Little Liars: Summer School, will makes its return. The thrilling saga continues after the events of 2022’s Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. Brace yourself for a new villain who may or may not have a connection to A, putting the show’s beloved characters to the test. Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, and Maia Reficco will be back for the next chapter.
Also arriving on Max is Season 3 of the Emmy-winning comedy Hacks. “A year after parting, Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) is riding high off the success of her standup special while Ava (Hannah Einbinder) pursues new opportunities back in Los Angeles,” the logline reads. Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder will return alongside Paul W. Downs, Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Kaitlin Olson, Christopher McDonald, Mark Indelicato, Tony Goldwyn, and more.
A24’s Iron Claw will also be streaming on Max on May 10. Directed by Season Durkin, the biographical sports drama is based on the true story of the Von Erich family, the wrestling dynasty who left a significant mark on the sports world. Set in the early 1980s, Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, and Stanley Simons star as the Von Erich brothers, who all embark on professional wrestling careers led by their father, Fritz Von Erich (Holt McCallany).

Max subscribers can also tune into the movie adaptation of John Green’s bestselling novel, Turtles All the Way Down. Starring Isabela Merced, Cree Cicchino, and Felix Mallard, the plot follows 17-year-old Ava, who is living with OCD and anxiety. When she reconnects with her childhood crush, Davis, Ava is confronted with fundamental questions about her potential for love, happiness, friendship, and hope.
But that’s not all. You also don't want to miss the A24 documentary Stop Making Sense, the comedy special Nikki Glaser: Someday You’ll Die, and the unscripted series Third With Shay Mitchell, starring the Pretty Little Liars actress.
